How difficult is to trek in Nepal?

Trekking in Nepal is walking in the Himalayas, on mostly level ground with a few sections of steep hillsides- ups and down. It is not so difficult nor too easy to trek Everest Base camp. Your health and physical fitness are vital. Hence, if you can walk 5 miles a day and in good aerobic shape, you will definitely complete the trek. And you can trek smoothly if you are used to with some walking habits and even join some gym, aerobics. Also, it is better to build a habit of hiking for 3 to 6 hours once a week and use stairs ups and down to make your knees strong and comfortable to walk in the Rocky Mountains. If you are in a good shape, you can enjoy the overall experience.

Do I need a guide? By the way, I already trekked or hiked before?

Himalaya Asuka must suggest you an experienced guide for your trek. You will be trekking countryside, high elevation, wild and remote areas of the Himalaya. The guide does not only show you trekking paths, but he also helps you to be safe and entertain you during the trekking. And this will make your trip joyful. Although you have experience of trekking or hiking, our guide will certainly enhance your good experience since most of them have more than 10 years experience in the Himalaya. We are serving with least 10 years experienced guide for our trekking and expedition trip who is also known as SHERPAS (Mountain heroes).

Is travel insurance necessary?

Indeed, travel insurance is mandatory. It must cover Helicopter rescue and medical insurance, in case of some emergency. We would like to suggest you World Nomads because it covers medical evacuation and help rescue up to 6000 m.

How long do we walk each day during the trekking?

During the entire trek, we usually walk 4 to 6 hours each day. It will be between 5 to 15 kilometers each day.

What kind of accommodation is provided during the trekking?

For hotel accommodation Standard twin shared is provided in the hotel in Kathmandu. In higher elevation, there is not a luxurious hotel. So tea house and lodge accommodation are provided in the higher elevation.

Best places to go for trekking in Nepal?

There are several possibilities which are almost endless. Everest Base Camp, Everest Three Passes Annapurna Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Langtang Valley, Manaslu Circuit and Upper Mustang is the most popular routes. But there are numerals trekking places all around the country.
