Seasons:
Dhaulagiri Circuit trekking best times from April and May, where most days are clear for mountain views with beautiful with wild flowers in bloom especially rhododendron of various colors (national flower of Nepal).
September to early November during autumn / fall most days are fine and clear for breathtaking views of peaks and landscapes, but with short sunlight hours where temperatures can drop to freezing cold with chances of snow above 2,000 m high.

Adventure to Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking begins with great exciting drive from Kathmandu to reach at scenic and famous Pokhara city, and then heading further west to start our wonderful walk into rural farm villages and high cooler hills.
As trek progress within beautiful dense forested area the reaching into arctic zone of cold temperatures at Dhaulagiri base camp and Hidden Valley, walk that leads to tremendous views of mountain range.
After Dhaulagiri base camp climb over highest French Pass to reach at wide scenic Hidden Valley enclosed with array of peaks and rocky high hills then over a last pass of Thapa and Dhampus to reach back within green tree lines and at charming village of Marpha and Jomsom town at Mustang area.
Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking completes taking a short flight to beautiful Pokhara and then ending our adventure at Kathmandu after a remarkable experience and marvelous time on Far Western Himalaya of Nepal on Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking.

Day 01:    Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02:    In Kathmandu with tour around world heritage sites.
Day 03:    Drive / fly to Pokhara 860 m-06 hrs (30 mins by air) transfer to hotel.
Day 04:      Drive to Darbang 1,200 m via Beni 900 m -06 hrs. 
Day 05:      Trek to Riverside 1,700 m - 04 hrs. 
Day 06:      Trek to Bagar 2,375m -05 hrs. 
Day 07:      Trek to Dovan 2,600m-06 hrs. 
Day 08:      Trek to Chartare / Bhainsi Kharka 3,000 m -05 hrs.
Day 09:      Trek to Pakhaban (Japanese Camp) 3,750m - 05 hrs. 
Day 10:      Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp 4,750m - 06 hrs. 
Day 11:      Trek to Hidden Valley 4,900m via French Pass 5,360m.
Day 12:      At Hidden Valley free day for excursion. 
Day 13:      Trek to Yak Kharka 4,915m - 05 hrs. 
Day 14:      Trek to Marpha 2, 670 - 04 hrs.
Day 15:    Fly to Pokhara 22 mins from Jomsom and transfer to hotel.
Day 16:    Drive / Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 17:    International Departure Homeward bound.
 

Day 01:    Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

On landing at Kathmandu and Nepal international airport received by our guide and staff for short transfer to your hotel in the centre of Kathmandu, where Himalaya Asuka  guide / leader provides briefing of the treks with full information required to make your time in Nepal enjoyable.

Day 02:    In Kathmandu with tour around world heritage sites.

A day in Kathmandu or relax with options to join for interesting tour where you have interesting time for few hours, Kathmandu city steeped with historical and famous religious sites listed in world heritage, rest of the afternoon free and preparation for Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking.

Day 03:     Drive/ fly to Pokhara 860 m - 06 hrs (30 mins by air).

Morning an overland journey to reach beautiful city at Pokhara, where drive covers a distance of 220 k.m from Kathmandu heading past many farm villages and towns as drive end for the day at Pokhara, located Nepal Mid-West.
On arrival in Pokhara transfer to your hotel situate near side of calm Phewa Lake with views of Annapurna and Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish-Tail’.
(Option by air 30 mins of scenic flight from Kathmandu to land at Pokhara)

Day 04:      Drive to Darbang 1,200 m via Beni 900 m -06 hrs.

Morning starting with another exciting journey on a vehicle either jeeps-four wheel drive or in comfortable coach to reach starting point of the trek, where drive leads past Pokhara on good road till Beni a large town and headquarter of Mygdi district.
From here follow the raging Mygdi River on dirt wide country road past farm villages and fields around warmer area to reach at Darbang where our drive ends for more than week till we get back at Pokhara after the treks.
At Darbang village either in local simple lodge or camp by the field near Mygdi River, with time to explore around interesting farm villages of Western Nepal populated mostly of Magar the hill tribe.

Day 05:      Trek to Riverside 1,700 m - 04 hrs.

Starting our morning walk of the adventure following the river most of the way to enter into gorge with cooler temperatures for some time, as route leads further ahead following Mygdi River upstream to a nice camping spot for overnight stop.

Day 06:      Trek to Bagar 2,375m - 06 hrs.

From here onward heading into remote rural villages to reach the last village of Mydgi area at Bagar, where walk follows into a thin forest and then through many farm fields of paddies to reach at Juge pani, a small farm area with few huts and houses.
After a rest where climb takes you to a ridge into a forest where air gets cooler than descend towards Bagar a remote farm village with primary school where camping will be set on the school yard.

Day 07:      Trek to Dovan 2,600m-06 hrs.

Adventure begins from this farm village of Bagar, where walk leads to steep climb high above the river to reach high green hills covered with thick rhododendron-aks-pines and fir trees.
On reaching the top of a ridge then descend towards Dovan located in the middle of a forest near a tributary streams that joins Mygdi River, Dovan a small settlement with huts and shades with shops.

Day 08:      Trek to Chartare / Bhainsi Kharka 3,000 m -05 hrs.

After Dovan into complete wilderness as morning leads to cross a stream over a small temporary bridge to reach back into dense woodland, following a path often used by local cattle herders to reach a meadow and a clearing with grassy ground to set our overnight camp surrounded by tall alpine tree lines.

Day 09:      Trek to Pakhaban (Japanese Camp) 3,750m - 05 hrs.

From here onward heading closer towards massive Dhaulagiri mountain range as walk leads into forest, then tree lines and lush vegetation disappears as morning walk reach at a huge glacial field known as Italian camp.
Located beneath South West Pillar of high Dhaulagiri Mountain range, as walk continues on flat field within ablation of South Dhaulagiri glacier, and then climb for short while to reach at Pakhaban, also known as Japanese camp. 
From the camp enjoy views of Dhaulagiri South West Face with Manapathi, Puttha Hiunchuli includes huge ice wall of Tsaurabong Peak.

Day 10:     Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp 4,750m - 06 hrs.

Morning walk leads over moraine of ice and glaciers with boulders of iceberg at some section of the route, as trail gets vague where all needs to follow our expert guide over glaciated area, after a tough walk over glacier then reaching a rocky open area at Dhaulagiri base camp.
Overnight at Dhaulagiri base camp one of the major highlight of the adventure within close range from Mt. Dhaulagiri-I at 8,167 m, which is world 7th highest peaks, view includes massive icefalls, glacier with Tukuche and West peaks of Dhaulagiri II (7,751 m.), Dhaulagiri III (7,715 m.) with Dhaulagiri IV  (7,618 m.).

Day 11:     Trek to Hidden Valley 4,890 m via French Pass 5,357 m.

After a great overnight stop beneath towering Mt. Dhaulagiri, as walk leads to highest point of the adventure to cross French pass at the height of 5,357 m. 
Reaching on top with grand views of surrounding peaks, where short descend reaches you on a wide grass field at Hidden Valley for overnight camp, enjoy wonderful views of Sita Chuchura, Mukut Himal, and Tashi Kang 5,386 meters, Tukche Peak and Dhaulagiri-I.

Day 12:     At Hidden Valley (contingency or spare day).

Walking for many days on this remote and isolated area, where all members and specially porters and staff need a break.
Today having rest day in case of bad weather if happens during our walks, if all goes well we can carry on to next camp to more safe and nice area to make the next day shorter toward Marpha area or at Jomsom.
On this day just relax and enjoy the views and explore on this least visited area around Hidden Valley.

Day 13:     Trek to Yak Kharka 4,890 m - 06 hrs.

After a pleasant time at Hidden Valley, morning starts with gradual walk for few hours to reach the last final pass of the adventure to cross Thapa / Dhampus pass at above 5,250 meters high, the top offers views of Annapurna mountain range, Nilgiri’s peaks.
Slowly make safe descend to reach at Yak Kharka for overnight camp and back in green vegetation of Juniper, Burberry and rhododendron bushes.

Day 14:     Trek to Marpha 2, 675 - 05 hours.

Last day walk of the trip from this morning till our adventure reaches at lovely Marpha village, where final day walk leads to long downhill towards the first village after leaving Bagar at Mygdi district.
Walk leads within forest of firs, pines and rhododendron trees, then finally at Marpha one of the most attractive village around Mustang area, where houses painted white with an interesting monastery to visit.
Marpha located in lower Mustang district at Kaligandaki river valley, the area around Kaligandaki famous for delicious apples and products like cider, brandy local brew, juices, dry apples and apricot fruits. 
Enjoy the afternoon in the comfort of nice lodges and explore this beautiful village.

Day 15:    Fly to Pokhara 22 mins and transfer to hotel by the lake Phewa.

Morning take a short drive to Jomsom airport, the headquarter town of Mustang area, where flight in a small aircraft (Twin Otter / Dornier or similar type), takes you back at Pokhara, enjoy marvelous views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain range on both side during the air journey.
Fabulous views of peaks all the way to Pokhara city airport, and then transfer into a nice hotel by the side of Phewa Lake, with time to browse around nice and scenic area with views of Annapurna mountain range.

Day 16:    Drive / Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

After pleasant stop at scenic Pokhara, morning taking an overland journey in a car or coach depending upon group size, where drive leads on scenic country observe Nepalese farm life around villages and towns then reaching into hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu.

Day 17:    International Departure Homeward bound.

Last day in the country of high Himalaya and with great memory of exciting experience and adventure on Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking, and then transfer to Kathmandu / Nepal international airport for on ward flight to respective destinations or homeward bound.
